Temple at Kudje, Pune

Have you ever visited the Bhairavnath temple in Kudaje, near Pune’s National Defence Academy? Ah, it’s certainly a site to behold! It has this mighty backdrop of the Sinhagad fort & the Mutha River in front. You know, our journey with this temple design began with a shared vision. We wanted to create a unified complex with smaller temples for three distinct deities. Every detail mattered to us. The towering Shikhara, the intricate column work & Ganesh Patti to the Dwarpal figures that frame the entrance; everything!

But yes, we wanted this temple to be more than just a place of worship. We wanted to make it a space that belongs to the people with rituals and community life. So one, we designed open gathering areas for spiritual activities and seating. And two, we had an efficient 500 sq. ft administrative and storage area to support the temple’s daily operations.

So yes, this pro-bono but modern temple design project is especially close to our hearts. It connects us to the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s era and to the enduring faith that continues to shape this land, for generations to come.
